Get ready for a morning of woodland wonder, spooky stories, and nature-based fun at our Halloween Forest School 🎃 — held in the heart of Faldonside Eco’s enchanting woodland, just outside Melrose in the Scottish Borders.
Designed for young adventurers and their grown-ups, this special seasonal session invites children to explore the outdoors, connect with nature, and celebrate Halloween the Faldonside way — through play, creativity, and imagination.
Run in partnership with The Green Adventure, this forest school morning blends sensory exploration with seasonal activities, and all are designed to encourage confidence, independence, and a love of the natural world.

- Mini Beast Hunts & Bug Hotel Building – discover the spooky side of the soil!
- Wand-Making & Potion Brewing – nature’s ingredients only! 🧙♀️
- Pumpkin Decorating & Leaf Crown Crafts – take home your Halloween creations 🎨
- Spooky Story Circle by the Fire – with warm drinks and toasted treats 🍂🔥
- Wild Play & Trail Exploring – guided by our experienced outdoor educators.
This is a gentle, fun and inclusive morning suitable for children aged 3–10 and their families. Parents or guardians are required to stay and enjoy the fun too! Fancy dress is absolutely encouraged (but not required) — think woodland witches, pumpkin pixies, or eco-friendly skeletons!
